On September 27, 2019, Coalition members traveled to Washington D.C. to present at a Congressional briefing and hold meetings with Congressional staff members. Coalition members spotlighted the importance of centering gender, global justice, and human rights in Green New Deal programs and policies. Representative Barbara Lee, a longtime leader in both environmental and gender justice in Congress, even stopped by to show solidarity and offer supportive comments!
